Ecuador straddles the Equator from where it derives its name and it has some of the tallest and most active volcanoes in the world. It is a gallery of stunning landscapes. From snow capped volcanic mountains to long stretches of unspoilt coastline and Amazon rainforest.

16% of Ecuadors land is made up of national parks providing tourists with great opportunities to spot mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and insects. Species inlude; llamas, pumas, hummingbirds and river dolphins.

Best time to visit?

Ecuador is considered a year round destination with conditions varying more with altitude and time of day than time of year. The most popular time of year to arrive is between June and September when conditions are drier and cooler with occasional fog.
