“Havana is a vibrant city of great charm and character and many of the old colonial buildings being restored to their former glory. Any visit to Cuba is incomplete without time spent in Havana!”
Havana is a city of great charm and character with all faded splendour and grand buildings. The wonderful architecture, made up by Spanish colonial and 1930s Art Deco styles, has given the city World Heritage status. We suggest a visit to the Havana Cathedral, Museum of the Revolution and that you stop for a mojitio at La Bodeguita or Ernest Hemingway’s favourite haunt – Floridita Bar. A visit to a Cigar Factory gives an interesting insight into how the Cuban tradition of cigar making has been maintained – even down to the reading out loud of the national newspaper to the workers.
Music is at the very heart of Cuba and in the evening you can hear it all over the city. We have always found this destination safe and a friendly welcoming city, and can give a personal insight into the best hotels, restaurants, shopping, dancing and sights.
